When asked to list the steps to taken to report a fire,

the candidate lists in writing the steps to taken to report a fire.

The candidate correctly describes (or selects the answer that describes) all of the following steps to be taken to report a fire:

1. Pass the word to an area where an alarm can be sounded i.e. bridge or engine room or sound the general alarm if available;
2. Give all pertinent details concerning the fire location, type and size; and
3. Report actions taken so far.
